Re-think on valves to make operation safer.
The most difficult part of getting the rocket to operate safely is the main operating valves. Because of the high temperatures and pressures the valves have to work under its not just straight forward. Having tried various types and designs of valves, we have now finally found a valve that works. Unfortunatly it means a re-design of the pressure vessel and outlets. All this work is currently being carried out and will be ready for rig testing in January 2020. The valves we have chosen have been made in the USA by a specialist valve manufacturing company for us. This type of valve has previously been used for both Hydrogen peroxide and super heated water rockets, and have a unparalleled safety record.
2 Valves are used but in series to give secondary redundancy. This installation is much safer than previous valve installations we have tested.
